Students
entering the program will hold at least a bachelor's degree (BA or BS), are expected
to submit an upper division, undergraduate Grade Point Average of "B"
(3.0) or better, and submit a combined verbal and quantitative Graduate Record
Examination score (no Advanced GRE Test score required). The GRE is required of applicants who have
completed master's or higher level training.
Students
without undergraduate psychology majors are welcome to the program. All applicants, both psychology and
non-psychology majors, are expected to have taken the following pre-requisite
courses:
1. Introductory
Psychology
2. Statistics
3. Abnormal Psychology
Applicants
with Graduate degrees are also expected to take the above pre-requisites.
In
addition to the above requirements, admission will be based on results of
committee screening interviews with each applicant. In accordance with the expectation that
graduates of this program are likely to work at supervisory and therapeutic
levels that require more than ordinary personal and emotional reserves,
qualifications in addition to academic ones will be evaluated at the time of
the interview. Candidates are expected
to demonstrate the highest levels of personal adjustment.
